Villages near Amsterdam Marken and Volendam

Taking advantage of the holidays we are going to make a five-day trip to Amsterdam and we are finishing planning what villages near Amsterdam we are going to visit: Marken, Volendam, ... Our idea is to go on our own without hiring excursions Can someone explain to me how to get from Amsterdam to Volendam by public transport?

Ir desde Amsterdam a Volendam en transporte público es muy fácil. Tienes que dirigirte a la estación central de Amsterdam y coger la línea 316 de autobús que hace la ruta Amsterdam - Volendam - Edam. El autobús sale cada cuarto de hora y el trayecto no llega a los 20 minutos.

Una vez en Volendam para ir a Marken tienes que coger el ferry, diría que hay uno cada media hora más o menos. La travesía en ferry hasta Marken es muy agradable y dura unos 30 minutos. Volendam no está mal, pero Marken es realmente un lugar precioso.

Cuando regreses de Marken a Volendam puedes parar a comer en Volendam. En el puerto hay bastantes lugares para comer y hacen un pescado frito muy bueno.

Para ir a Edam, puedes coger el autobús 316 o el 110 en la misma parada de autobús en la que bajas cuando llegas a Volendam desde Amsterdam. En mi modesta opinión, Edam es el más bonito de los pueblos de las Waterland.

Next to it is the Reichstag, and not far away, you can also see the Federal Chancellery and the Holocaust Memorial. Afterward, I'd suggest taking a leisurely stroll through Tiergarten park (no admission fee). It's a wonderful place to walk or cycle (bicycles can be rented on-site). The park is quite large, featuring several monuments (mainly World War II memorials), lakes, and fountains. To wrap up, I'd head back to Potsdamer Platz and have dinner at one of the restaurants in the square.
