London Airports
London.England. United Kingdom
Is the National Rail 2-for-1 offer applicable if the arrival and departure airports are different?
My daughter and her boyfriend are planning a weekend getaway to London next month. They'll arrive at **Gatwick** airport, but they haven't decided yet which airport they'll fly back from.
When we were in London, I remember we used the **National Rail 2-for-1 offer**. My question is: **Is the National Rail 2-for-1 offer still valid if the arrival and departure are from different airports? Do all the airports in London work with National Rail?**
Thanks! 😊

Hello everyone! My recommendation is Breitscheidplatz. I visited it last year, and it was a magical experience.
Located in front of the impressive Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (with its towers beautifully illuminated at night), the market exudes a traditional and very cozy Christmas atmosphere. The wooden stalls decorated with lights, the scents of cinnamon and cloves, and the Christmas carols playing softly in the background transport you to a fairy tale.
I had never tried glühwein (hot wine) before, and I discovered it's not really my thing, but it does taste better when paired with a juicy bratwurst and schmalzkuchen (those sugar-dusted doughnuts are addictive!). The craft stalls are perfect for picking up unique gifts: hand-carved ornaments, scented candles, or traditional toys.
Another great thing about this Christmas market is that it's surrounded by iconic shops like Bikini Berlin and the luxurious KaDeWe—ideal for some shopping if your budget allows it.
I recommend staying nearby; we stayed at Hotel Zoo Berlin, just a 5-minute walk from the market. It has an excellent location, near the Zoologischer Garten station, and the service is impeccable. From there, it's easy to explore areas like Charlottenburg or Kurfürstendamm.
Don’t forget to visit Café Kranzler to enjoy an authentic Kaffee und Kuchen.
And the best part? Entry is free, so I went at least once every day. It's a must-visit to truly experience Berlin's Christmas spirit!
P.S.: Bring warm clothes; Berlin at Christmas is a very cold place.(*) This response has been translated ( see the original text in french ).
