Berlin Cathedral
Berlin Cathedral is the short name for the Evangelical Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church in Berlin. It is located on Museum Island in the Mitte borough.
The Berlin Cathedral has never been a cathedral in the actual sense of that term since it has never been the seat of a bishop. In 1975 reconstruction started, simplifying the building's original design and demolishing the northern wing, the Memorial Church.
Compared by some to the Medici Chapel, it had survived the war completely intact but was demolished for ideological reasons by the communist government due to it being a hall of honour for the Hohenzollern dynasty ( read more )

Berlin Cathedral entrance
I have read in several places that the entrance to the Berlin Cathedral is worth € 7. Do you have to pay to enter a Cathedral?

Re #0: Berlin Cathedral entrance
The entrance is to access the museum that is in the upper part, go up to the dome and go down to the crypt. If you go to the Berlin Cathedral, assume that you will pay for it, you can not come from Berlin without taking a picture from the dome of its cathedral. They are only € 7.

Re #0: Berlin Cathedral entrance
